We group exams into four categories because they work very differently. Read the differences below, then search or filter to find yours.
A · Entrance & bridge exams
Taken to get into a nursing program, or to bridge from one credential to another (like LPN to RN). Independently registrable through the exam provider — not run by us.
B · Nursing school assessments
Assigned by your nursing program at specific points in the curriculum. These aren't open for independent registration — your school schedules them.
C · Nurse aide exams
State-required competency testing for nurse aides: a knowledge test (written or oral) plus a separate, always in-person, skills evaluation.
D · Professional certifications
Specialty credentials for practicing nurses, issued by boards like AACN, BCEN, ABNN, NLN, and NCC — independent of any single employer or school.
Not every exam listed here is available remotely everywhere, and remote availability doesn't mean everyone is eligible — requirements are set by the exam provider, your school, or your state. Assignment Hire doesn't administer any of these exams or certifications.
