Qualitative Research and Nurses
Nurses rely on colleague support, evidence-based research, and the knowledge and skills gained from outstanding nursing education programs to offer the best possible care to their patients. Nurses have access to an increasing amount of research, and once they have identified relevant research, they may incorporate it into their nursing practice.
What Exactly Is Qualitative Research?
Qualitative research dates back to the early twentieth century. Qualitative research was utilized by sociologists, anthropologists, psychologists, linguists, and others to investigate people, cultures, and communities all over the world. Qualitative research is now applied in a variety of sectors, ranging from behavioral sciences to marketing and healthcare.
The goal of qualitative research is to determine how and why a certain phenomena happens. It is the investigation of the nature of occurrences. Finding out what makes up a phenomena, what it is made of, is critical to drawing conclusions from qualitative research.
